  • Encourage chart sales ( Roy Shuker 2001 ) 
  • Establish the star persona, ‘media representation’,and their performance skills ( Richard Dyer 1975 ) 
  • Promote the artist/band, sales, tours, merchandise, films

Conceptual Clips:
