LO3 How Production meets Legal and Ethical Report

Our production has reflected the consideration for legal and ethical issues. For example, we thought about health and safety when filming videos on the road by using an area of the road which was far away from being used and we constantly kept looking for cars oncoming and moved out of the way. This secured our safety and made sure we weren't injured or sued if we were hit by a car. It wasn't necessary for our group to create consent forms because we were all of age and we only included people in our group in the video.  We also completed a recce and a risk assessment which made us think about the levels of risk and what could potentially cause harm on location when we were filming. Furthermore, we emailed the artist, their record label and messaged them on instagram to ask for permission for us to create a music video to their song to avoid any copyright or ownership issues. In addition, we would credit them either under the video in the description box when we would have uploaded it to YouTube or at the end of the video in the credits. The song we chose to make a music video on, 'Friends in the Corner', didn't include any sexual or violent imagery, or any inappropriate or strong language. This made it easier for our group as we wouldn't have needed to edit out any parts or blur our mouths if we had to sing the words within post-production.
