LO3 How Production meets Legal and Ethical Report

 Our production has reflected the consideration for legal and ethical issues. For example, we thought about health and safety when filming videos on the road by using an area of the road which was far away from being used and we constantly kept looking for cars oncoming and moved out of the way. This secured our safety and made sure we weren't injured or sued if we were hit by a car. It wasn't necessary for our group to create consent forms because we were all of age and we only included people in our group in the video.  We also completed a recce and a risk assessment which made us think about the levels of risk and what could potentially cause harm on location when we were filming. Furthermore, we emailed the artist, their record label and messaged them on instagram to ask for permission for us to create a music video to their song to avoid any copyright or ownership issues. LO2 Legal and Ethical Report

For our music video, we would need to consider legal and ethical issues for the safety of our audience viewing the music video and the team making the music video. This would include the legal aspects of health and safety, copyright and ownership, consent and other contracts and media regulation. In relation to our music video, health and safety would cover the production crew when filming around the equipment and for the actors when on location. Whereas copyright and ownership would cover giving credits to the artist of the song and giving any profit made to her to avoid being sued. The consent forms would also cover being sued if the actors were underage and didn't have their guardian's permission for example. Our music video would be regulated by OFCOM, so it would need to follow their guidelines and be appropriate for viewing, such as no violent imagery or strong language.   This is the beginning of our storyboard where we were planning officially the different types of shots and movements of our video. We would have continued this and finished the entire video before shooting ideally.
